Regarding Modem and a router (comp junkies requested)

Ok this is a simple set up: plug in the modem and then do the computer stuff to establish internet (if need be)

I have 2 room mates and we all have computers (2 laptops and a pc) and we are wireless. So we got a linksys router to aid us with internet usage.
